"SEATTLE ORIGINAL" TV CAMPAIGN

Spin Creative designed a four-spot TV and digital commercial campaign for Seattle Credit Union, to raise brand awareness for the organization. 

The campaign was designed to show SCU as authentic, local and the best place to bank for people who love living in the Puget Sound area.

Project Insight
Spin developed the campaign tagline "Seattle Original" and the creative for the spots around the idea of highlighting Seattle individuals that are special and unique to the Pacific Northwest. The approach for the campaign was to feature authentic Seattle people and imagery from unique perspectives and angles. In doing, so the campaign raised awareness for SCU to be seen as authentic, local and the best place to bank for people who love living in the Puget Sound area. 

The primary goal for the campaign was to raise awareness for the SCU brand both on TV and online, and subsequently drive traffic to client-designed landing pages on the SCU site. Spin was deeply involved in all aspects of production, from sourcing local "Seattle Originals" and locations, to storyboarding each spot for filming as well as managing the overall production and post production phases. 

Spot 1 features Gathigi Gishuru, the lead singer of The Physics, after the end of a day at work. Locations featured in the spot include Georgetown Records, Purple Door Studios and B + H Architects. Spot 2 features basketball coach Mike Bethea, filmed on location at Rainer Beach High School. Spot 3 features Dani Cone, the owner of several local businesses, filmed on location in Capitol Hill at Dani's pie shop. Spot 4 features Estela Ortega, Executive Director of El Centro de la Raza, where the spot was filmed.

The campaign results were:
  • 17,000 Visits to Campaign Site
  • 300 Loan and Member Applications 
  • 81,000 YouTube views (paid)
  • 2 MM Pandora impressions (video + static ads)
  • 16,000 Pandora clicks 
  • 1.6% Video Ad CTR (Pandora)
  • 1.2% Static Banner Ad CTR (Pandora)
