A Fully 3D-Animated Universe for the Future of Work
To unveil the power of AI in the Viva ecosystem, Microsoft partnered with Spin Creative to create a high-end, fully 3D-animated sizzle video—an immersive experience designed to stop audiences in their tracks at keynotes, tradeshows, and major enterprise events.
Every frame of the 90-second video was built entirely in 3D, allowing us to craft a unified visual language that transcends flat UI walkthroughs. Instead of jumping between literal app interfaces, we designed an expansive metaphorical universe—where each Viva app is visualized as a distinct world with its own mood, materiality, and motion language. From the soft-body dynamics of Glint to the organic data growth in Insights and the wood-toned tactility of Engage, each environment was designed from the ground up to reflect the emotional and functional essence of the app it represents.
Our goal wasn’t just to show Copilot in action—it was to embody its intelligence. We brought the Copilot identity to life as a glowing, kinetic motif: a flare of AI-powered energy that pulses through each world, activating color, motion, and transformation. Technically, we used dynamic simulations, procedural animation, and rich shading to give the flare real weight and presence—making it feel not like an overlay, but like a living, breathing character in the story.
This worldbuilding approach allowed us to seamlessly connect moments of interaction—typing a prompt, generating a report, crafting a post—with cinematic transitions and visual metaphors that signal deeper meaning. The result is not just a product video, but a visual narrative that reflects Microsoft’s ambition: to use AI to elevate human potential at work, through clarity, connection, and creativity.
